The Business Writing Center offers three courses in writing clear, effective business e-mail. Each is designed to provide all the training the trainee needs, in a medium best suited to the trainee's time and interests:

  • Writing Effective Workplace E-mail (instructor-led course)

Memos Online Course

Memos take on the form of e-mail, letters, or reports, depending on the way the company uses them, so training in writing memos is included in the general Business Writing Skills course, which also teaches the skills required to write clear, effective e-mail, letters, and reports.

Letters Online Courses

Two courses are available in writing business letters:

  • Writing Effective Business Letters

  • Writing Effective Sales Letters

The Writing Effective Business Letters course teaches the skills required to write clear, effective business letters, then applies the skills to writing letters of request, persuasion, and response. It includes training in writing good-news letters and bad-news letters.
